PX 49 C 5 — a medium-maturing sh2 hybrid of sweet super-sweet corn, intended for fresh market and processing. The vegetative period is approximately 82 days, allowing cultivation in open fields throughout the season with mechanized harvesting. The plant is compact with a strong root system, ensuring high resistance to lodging and adaptability to various growing conditions. Ears reach up to 25 cm in length and 5.5 cm in diameter, with bright yellow kernels, dense, 13-14 mm in depth, and about 18 rows. Sugar content (Brix) is at 12-13%, guaranteeing high product flavor quality.

The hybrid exhibits high cold resistance and stress tolerance, as well as resistance to corn mosaic virus. Moderate resistance is noted against leaf helminthiopsis, rust, and southern leaf spot. Additionally, PX 49 C 5 demonstrates resistance to herbicides containing mesotrione and tembotrione, facilitating weed control and enhancing the effectiveness of agronomic practices.

To enhance yield and product quality, it is recommended to use the complex fertilizer "FLORENTA" CORN, designed for pre-sowing seed treatment and foliar feeding.
