Stardust is a perennial ornamental plant widely used in landscape design due to its low maintenance and attractive appearance. The variety is presented in two main forms: Lawson cypress and Sedum (stonecrop). The Stardust cypress grows quickly, reaching heights of 3 to 5 meters and a crown diameter of 1.5-2.5 meters. Its green-golden crown looks great both as a solitary specimen and in living hedges, and the plant is highly cold-resistant (zone 5b) and disease-resistant. For successful cultivation, cypress requires fertile soil with good drainage and neutral pH, as well as moderate regular watering and placement in full sun or partial shade. Stardust Sedum is a compact shrub up to 60 cm tall, with fleshy light-green oval leaves and white star-shaped flowers arranged in large umbel-like inflorescences. Flowering begins in August and continues until October, adding decorative value to the garden in late summer and autumn. Even after flowering, the flowers retain their attractive appearance even in winter. The plant prefers light, well-drained soils and sunny locations, is highly cold-resistant (zones 3-4), and does not require winter protection. Due to its slow spread and attractive flowering, Stardust Sedum is often used to create borders, mixed borders, and group plantings in flower beds, harmoniously combining with irises and asters. Thus, Stardust is a versatile plant presented in two different varieties, each with its own unique characteristics and advantages. Stardust cypress is suitable for creating tall decorative compositions and living hedges, while Stardust Sedum is ideal for decorating flower beds and borders with prolonged flowering. Both varieties exhibit high resistance to adverse conditions, making them an excellent choice for gardeners and landscape designers.
