SLAVYANKA S

SLAVYANKA S — a mid-early maize variety intended for grain and silage production. Plants of this variety have medium height and are characterized by a cream-colored yellow kernel with a toothed shape. The ear is cylindrical, medium in length and thickness, with a medium-length stalk and medium number of rows. The kernel is two-toned: the upper part is orange, the lower part is yellow. Leaves are medium in width, curved, with a medium angle between leaf blade and stem. The plant is tall, with early-to-medium flowering time of tassels. The variety is resistant to southern helminthosporium and has medium resistance to northern helminthosporium, but is susceptible to corn smut and corn stem borer. Anthocyanin pigmentation is weak or absent in various parts: sheath of the first leaf, roots at the stem, spikelet bracts and their base, leaf sheaths, and ear core. Tassels have medium anthocyanin pigmentation, while silk has medium intensity of pigmentation. Spikelets are medium in density, the main axis of the tassel is long and forms a medium angle with lateral branches, which are curved and medium in length. The average grain yield of the SLAVYANKA S variety in the region is approximately 39.5 centners per hectare, and normalized dry matter — 100.3 centners per hectare. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, as confirmed by its inclusion in the state register.
