SATRIANI — a mid-early hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.), intended for cultivation as silage and grain. The plant is characterized by medium or high height, with a leaf blade of medium width and slightly curved shape. The vegetation period is approximately 97 days, which corresponds to the standards for this type of hybrid. The ear is long, cylindrical, with a short or medium-length peduncle, and the grain is cream-colored with an orange hue on the upper and lower parts, giving it an attractive appearance and good technological properties. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield: in the Central Chernozem region, the normalized dry matter content reaches 187.1 centners per hectare, which is 21.8% higher than the standard, with maximum values reaching up to 279 centners per hectare. The dry matter content in the plant is approximately 42.8%, also exceeding standard values. Grain yield varies across regions from 47.0 to 64.1 centners per hectare, with indicators in the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions exceeding standards, while in the North Caucasus region they are at standard levels. SATRIANI exhibits resistance to southern helminthosporiosis and is lightly affected by blister rust, enhancing its reliability under adverse conditions. However, the hybrid is susceptible to ear rot, bacterial disease, and Fusarium ear rot, and is prone to moderate to severe damage by corn borer. These characteristics require careful attention to plant protection and agronomic practices to ensure maximum productivity.
