Slavutich 271 MV

Slavutich 271 MV — a high-yielding, mid-season corn hybrid developed by the Ukrainian breeding brand LLC Nertus Agro and registered in the State Register of Hybrids and Varieties in 2019. The hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a FAO index of 260–270, and its full vegetation period is 107–110 days. Plants reach a height of 230–270 cm, possess a strong, well-developed root system, and a sturdy, elastic stem. The ear is cylindrical or slightly conical, the kernels are dent-shaped with a bright yellow-orange color, and the 1000-kernel weight is 250–270 g. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to adverse environmental conditions, including prolonged droughts, as well as lodging. It shows resistance to major corn diseases such as common rust, helminthosporium, and fusarium, ensuring reliable plant protection and stable yields. Due to these qualities, Slavutich 271 MV adapts well to cultivation in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine and responds positively to agronomic practices aimed at increasing yield and protecting plants. The hybrid is versatile and suitable for both grain production and silage use. Potential yields are over 150 ц/га for grain and over 450 ц/га for silage. The recommended plant density at harvest is 65 thousand units per hectare for grain production and 75 thousand units per hectare for silage. Slavutich 271 MV exhibits high early vigor, good leafiness, and prolonged viability, making it an advantageous choice for agricultural enterprises seeking stable and high-quality yields.
