Maize SL Bahato

The SL Bahato corn hybrid is a simple, high-yielding hybrid with excellent grain moisture content. It belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a FAO rating of approximately 270-280, ensuring optimal maturity timing. Plants reach a height of 260-290 cm, with ears 18-25 cm long and 4-5 cm in diameter, positioned at 110-120 cm. The grain is dent-type, yellow, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 320-360 grams, contributing to high grain quality and marketability.

The grain structure features 16-18 rows per ear and 34-38 kernels per row, totaling 540-680 kernels per ear. The hybrid's yield potential reaches 150 centners per hectare, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones. The plants have a semi-erect leaf type, enhancing photosynthesis and resilience under adverse conditions.

The SL Bahato hybrid exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases such as helminthosporium, fusarium, and common rust. Additionally, it possesses good cold tolerance, drought resistance, and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yields under stress conditions. Recommended plant population varies by region: 75-80 thousand plants per hectare for the Polissia region, 65-70 thousand for forest-steppe, and 50-55 thousand for steppe, optimizing hybrid productivity across different agroclimatic zones. The hybrid seeds are produced by the Austrian breeding company Saatbau, guaranteeing high quality and adaptability of the variety.
