Maize C 64423-3 X C 74002

A Universal Maize Hybrid for Intensive Farming

The C 64423-3 X C 74002 hybrid from Ooo Agrus is the result of dedicated breeding work by the team of Janusz Rogacki and Henryk Cygert. This seed material is designed for farms focused on deep processing and diversifying the use of their harvest.

Application Scenarios and Agronomic Value

The key feature of this hybrid is its versatility in terms of end-use. Due to its specific grain characteristics, the crop is widely utilized in the following sectors:

• Energy Sector: Production of biogas and biofuels. The hybrid provides a stable yield of biomass suitable for industrial fermentation.
• Processing Industry: High starch content makes this variety an optimal choice for ethanol production and deep grain processing.
• Livestock Farming: Establishing a high-quality forage base for intensive livestock operations.

Regarding phytosanitary protection, the crops demonstrate strong field tolerance to various pathogens. The hybrid effectively resists loose smut, head smut, and maize fusarium. This helps to reduce pesticide pressure during the growing season and optimizes spending on fungicide treatments.

Technological Recommendations

The medium-maturing type provides a balance between vegetative mass accumulation and ear ripening. It is recommended for cultivation in regions with temperate climates where resistance to stalk infections is critical. Using this hybrid is a sound strategy for farms practicing both direct grain sales and on-site processing into feed or ethanol products.
