Corn Rist SV is an early-maturing hybrid with high resistance to lodging, winter hardiness, and disease resistance. Plants reach a height of 290-350 cm and have approximately 12 leaves on the main stem. The hybrid has weak bushiness. The ear has a weak conical shape, 19-24 cm long, with 16 rows of kernels, each row containing 45-50 yellow, dent-shaped kernels. The grain maturity period in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine is 122-130 days. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity with yields of 105-115 centners per hectare.
Podilskyi 274 SV — a mid-maturing corn hybrid with high and stable yields, showing plasticity and profitability for seed production. The hybrid is sensitive to high agro-climatic conditions. Morphological characteristics include FAO 270, plant height 240-250 cm, absence of bushiness, high resistance to lodging and stem breakage. The ear is cylindrical, 22-23 cm long, attachment height 100-105 cm, with 14-16 rows of kernels, 37-39 kernels per row. The grain is yellow, 1000 kernels weigh approximately 290-300 g. Potential grain yield reaches 125-130 centners per hectare. Recommended planting density is 53-55 thousand plants per hectare in the steppe zone and 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in the forest-steppe zone.
Thus, corn hybrids Rist SV and Podilskyi 274 SV are high-yielding hybrids with different maturation periods and morphological features, adapted to various agroclimatic conditions. They are suitable for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high grain yields due to resistance to adverse factors and good agronomic characteristics.
