The RGT Ligetixx corn hybrid is a mid-early maturity hybrid with FAO maturity group 290, developed by RAGT semences. It features a dent kernel type and medium plant height, making it suitable for cultivation across various climatic zones in Ukraine, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The hybrid exhibits high initial growth energy, promoting rapid development from seedling to mature plant, as well as optimal sowing windows from early to late.
RGT Ligetixx demonstrates high plasticity and resilience to adverse weather conditions, including drought and cold. It shows low sensitivity to climate fluctuations and maintains high yields even under water deficit. The hybrid adapts well to various soil types, including minimally tilled soils, and positively responds to agronomic practices. High resistance to diseases, particularly stalk and ear rot and lodging, ensures stable and high-quality yields.
According to 2021 trial results, RGT Ligetixx yields ranged from 85 to 149 centners per hectare across different regions, confirming its high productivity. The grain has a 1000-grain weight of 320–340 grams, 40–44 kernels per row, and 16–18 rows. Thanks to its active moisture release during maturation, the hybrid ensures improved grain quality, making it an attractive choice for grain producers seeking stable and high-quality yields.
