Corn hybrid R8745 is a mid-season hybrid with dent kernel type, suitable for cultivation as grain or silage. This variety features high yield potential, reaching up to 14 tons per hectare, as well as high starch content and good overall digestibility. The plant is medium-height, with a maximum height of about 280 cm and ear attachment height of 110–115 cm, ensuring convenient harvest and resistance to lodging after maturity.
R8745 exhibits high tolerance to various stress factors, including southern rust, drought, and Fusarium, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under different climatic conditions. The variety has high drought resistance and resistance to southern rust, contributing to stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. Late harvest should be avoided to maintain grain quality.
The hybrid is suitable for early planting due to its rapid growth start and can be successfully grown in monoculture, i.e., corn planted with corn. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on regional moisture: 65–70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture and 75–80 thousand in areas with adequate moisture. The variety is recommended for cultivation in eastern regions of the forest-steppe, Polissia, Northern Steppe, and other regions of Ukraine.
