R 19019 is an early-maturing three-line hybrid maize with FAO 190, intended for grain production. The plant reaches a height of 230-250 cm, does not bush, with cylindrical ears 21-23 cm long, positioned at a height of 70-90 cm. The grain is yellow, dent-shaped, with a 1000-grain weight of 270-280 g and a grain yield of 80-81%. The hybrid has a strong anthocyanin stem, disease and pest resistance, and is characterized by accelerated spring development and high resistance to late frosts. Moisture content at harvest is 13-14%, which facilitates high-quality harvest.
Hybrid R 19019 is recommended for cultivation in Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polесьe zones with optimal plant population, ranging from 60,000/ha in Steppe to 90,000/ha in Polесьe. Potential grain yield reaches 11-12.5 t/ha, with the hybrid demonstrating high germination energy (97%) and drought and lodging resistance. Dry matter accumulation rates at maturity correspond to the northern ecotype, ensuring stable maturation and high productivity even in cooler regions.
Special attention is given to seed production: first-generation seeds are grown on sterile bases using fertility restoration schemes, ensuring high-quality planting material. Seed treatment with the fungicide Maxim XL provides additional disease protection. The hybrid is well-adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine and meets European standards, making it a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and stable maize yields.
