Maize PX 20 DD

Stability and Resilience in the Early Segment

The «PX 20 DD» hybrid from Pioneer s.a. offers a strategic solution for those prioritizing intensive grain production within a short growing window. Its primary advantage is the combination of a flint-type grain with significant resistance to major pathogens, ensuring predictable results even under challenging phytosanitary conditions.

A Phytosanitary Shield

Under conditions of high infection pressure, this hybrid excels. Pioneer s.a. has focused its breeding efforts on comprehensive protection: the plant shows robust resistance to both ear and stalk Fusarium, as well as high tolerance to stalk smut. For the grower, this translates to reduced fungicide costs and increased confidence in the quality of the harvested grain.

Agronomic Highlights

• Maturity: A mid-early hybrid with a 73–78 day growing season — an ideal choice for crop rotations where hitting optimal harvest windows is critical.
• Usage: Its versatile nature allows for various applications, ranging from fodder to industrial processing.
• Planting Density: Recommended densities range from 80,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare, depending on moisture availability, requiring precise seeding rates to maximize yield potential.

«PX 20 DD» is best suited for farms seeking a balance between a short vegetative period and high-quality flint grain. While it offers impressive yield stability under intensive management, growers should note that it requires adequate mineral nutrition to fully express its genetic potential.
