Description PR36B08
The hybrid corn PR36B08 is characterized by high yield potential and is adapted to various growing conditions. The plant has a low stalk with strong structure and low ear position, which is large and contains 16-18 rows of kernels. The kernels belong to the hard dent type, and the moisture content at harvest is at a medium level. The hybrid shows strong drought resistance, tolerates cold soils well, and exhibits excellent resistance to diseases such as helmintosporiosis (gar) and ear mold (Fusarium, Giberella). Additionally, it is fairly resistant to pests, particularly the corn stalk borer.

PR36B08 shows a medium kernel extraction rate from the ear of about 82.22%, indicating a good kernel-to-ear weight ratio. The hybrid can successfully grow on soils of lower quality, while on fertile soils with proper agronomy it achieves very high yields. It responds well to lower planting densities, allowing for optimized planting structures depending on growing conditions. It is recommended to plant this hybrid as early as possible in spring, at soil temperatures of 8-10°C, with a density of 70-75 thousand plants per hectare, corresponding to row spacing of 19-20.5 cm. In more favorable regions, planting can be denser, while in less favorable regions — sparser.

Studies conducted over several years have shown that PR36B08 has the ability to accumulate important microelements such as selenium in leaves and kernels, which may positively influence the nutritional value of the harvest. Although it is not always the highest-yielding hybrid, it demonstrates high stability in performance under various conditions. This makes PR36B08 an attractive choice for cultivation in regions with variable climatic conditions and varying soil quality.
