Maize P82000

Crop Stability with Corteva P82000

The P82000 hybrid from Corteva is a solution for farmers who prioritize predictable results. As a simple dent corn hybrid, it is focused on producing high-quality commercial grain and highly nutritious silage. A key feature of this corn is its maturation flexibility (a FAO range of 90–1240 allows for adaptation to various climatic zones) combined with high phytosanitary resistance.

Phytopathological Shield

One of the main challenges in corn cultivation remains smut diseases. P82000 demonstrates pronounced resistance to both loose and common smut. This significantly reduces the risk of crop loss in stressful conditions when pathogens are most active. This integrated defense system helps lower fungicide application costs and minimizes the risk of infection.

Practical Planting Density Recommendations

P82000 allows for flexible adjustment of planting density depending on available moisture and soil fertility:

• 65,000–70,000 plants/ha — an optimal choice for zones with limited moisture, allowing plants to realize ear potential without intense competition.
• 75,000–80,000 plants/ha — the recommended rate for fields with good moisture availability or irrigation, ensuring maximum yield per unit area.

This hybrid is an optimal choice for farms seeking a reliable, high-performance cultivar capable of delivering stable yields in both grain production and silage harvesting.
