OM 370 — a mid-season hybrid corn with FAO 370, intended for cultivation in various soil-climatic conditions, including the Forest Steppe, Steppe, and Polесье. This three-line hybrid is characterized by high yield and adaptability, allowing successful cultivation both under insufficient and sufficient moisture. Plants reach a height of approximately 260-270 cm, with ears positioned at 100-110 cm. The hybrid forms large ears with 16-18 rows of kernels and 36-46 kernels per row, contributing to a high potential yield of up to 16 t/ha and an average yield of about 12 t/ha based on trials. OM 370 exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as stalk and ear fusarium, helminthosporium, blister and smut, as well as lodging and drought. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates stable performance even under stress conditions. The kernels have a toothed type, which ensures rapid moisture release upon maturity and facilitates harvesting. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 345 g, indicating seed size and quality. The OM 370 hybrid is suitable for various applications, including grain, silage, biogas, and bioethanol production. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on region and moisture conditions: from 55-60 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture to 80-90 thousand plants per hectare in Polесье under optimal conditions. Early sowing at temperatures of +10 °C contributes to successful development and maximum yield. Original seeds have quality certificates, guaranteeing their high germination energy and reliability.
