NS 220

Hybrid maize NS 220 is a three-line medium-early hybrid with FAO 210, suitable for cultivation as grain or silage. Plants reach a height of up to 285 cm, with ear attachment height around 110 cm. The grain is cream-colored, yellow-orange, arranged in 14-16 rows of 29 kernels each, yielding 406 to 464 kernels per ear. This hybrid features high growth speed during early vegetative stages and rapid moisture release at maturity, facilitating efficient harvest.

The yield potential of NS 220 reaches up to 135 centners per hectare, making it attractive for various agroclimatic conditions. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major diseases such as helminthosporiosis, fusarium, and gray leaf spot, as well as good resistance to lodging and drought, rated at 8 points. These characteristics ensure stable and reliable yields even under stressful conditions.

NS 220 is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including steppe, forest-steppe, and lowland areas, with optimal planting density varying by zone: from 60,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare.
