Maize LGR 2047 X LIR 2234

Stable yields for feed and industrial processing

French breeding from Mas Seeds has established itself as a reliable tool for farms where predictability is essential. The hybrid “LGR 2047 X LIR 2234” is a solution for those who plan their sowing campaign with clear harvest timelines and specific end-use goals in mind.

Practical application in the field

This hybrid is oriented towards sectors requiring high grain quality while maintaining stable productivity:

• Feed production: Thanks to its dent grain type, the hybrid offers excellent digestibility, making it an optimal choice for livestock needs. The high energy value of the yellow-orange grain helps reduce costs for purchased supplements in cattle rations.
• Food industry: The characteristics of the grain allow it to be used in processing for flour and cereal production. Its stable chemical composition ensures predictable output at processing facilities.

Its medium maturity period allows this hybrid to fit into the crop rotation of most farms in the forest-steppe and steppe zones. It does not require extreme intensive technologies, yet demonstrates robust potential when basic agronomic practices are followed. The yellow-orange grain is characterized by excellent filling and high test weight, simplifying subsequent drying and storage.

Agronomic focus

When choosing “LGR 2047 X LIR 2234,” agronomists rely on the “golden mean”: the balance between the vegetative period and yield. This hybrid shows high responsiveness to nitrogen fertilization, which is critical for obtaining high-quality grain with a high starch content.
