The hybrid sweet corn KWS Boliviano belongs to mid-early maturing varieties with FAO maturity group 280 and is intended for grain production. Plants reach a height of 290-300 cm, with the ear positioned at 100-110 cm, containing 14-16 rows of dent kernels. The 100-kernel weight is 300-310 g, indicating large kernel size and high grain quality. This hybrid is characterized by high productivity and stability under various climatic conditions, making it versatile for different cultivation regions. KWS Boliviano possesses several important agronomic advantages. It performs excellently on sandy soils and demonstrates strong early development. The hybrid exhibits pronounced remontancy, enabling repeated fruiting. It is resistant to lodging and major corn diseases, including helminthosporium and common rust, achieving maximum resistance ratings. Moreover, the hybrid shows high drought tolerance and cold resistance, without physiological disorders under sudden temperature drops, allowing its use for early planting. The yield potential of KWS Boliviano reaches 170 ц/ha, with average field yields ranging from 110 to 138 ц/ha. The hybrid performs best in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine and on the Polissia. For optimal development, it is recommended to maintain a planting density of 75-85 thousand plants per hectare on well-watered areas, and 60-70 thousand plants per hectare under limited water conditions. The grain of this hybrid has high starch content and efficient moisture release after physiological maturity, contributing to high-quality and stable yields.
