Description Kanada
Corn variety Kanada is a transgenic vigorous hybrid developed using modern nanotechnology by the American chemical corporation UNION CARBIDE and the Canadian holding SERTIS. This hybrid was specifically created for cultivation in arid climates and unfavorable soils typical of regions in North and South Africa, Asia, as well as some areas of Russia and Kazakhstan. Scientific trials conducted in countries with high air temperatures demonstrated high yield and drought resistance, making this variety especially valuable for farmers operating under challenging climatic conditions.

The plant features a powerful taproot system capable of penetrating soil to a depth of two meters, ensuring effective nutrition and drought resistance. About half of the roots are located at depths up to 80 cm, and nodules with nitrogen-fixing bacteria form on the roots, contributing to soil fertility improvement. The corn stalk is upright, up to 18 cm thick, with large, linear-lanceolate leaves up to one meter long and about 20 cm wide, with a total count of up to 26 leaves. Each plant forms up to four ears, each up to 34 cm long and weighing approximately 700 grams, each containing around 1200 yellow cream-colored, toothed kernels.

The hybrid is self-pollinating, eliminating the need for bees for pollination. Seeds begin to germinate at a minimum temperature of +2–3 °C, expanding their planting possibilities across various climatic zones. Thanks to its unique characteristics, such as high drought resistance, strong root system, and high yield, corn Kanada is a promising choice for agrarians seeking a stable and high-quality harvest under challenging natural conditions.
