The dent-type grain structure allows for a superior grain fill and excellent drying rates, which is critical for minimizing energy costs during harvesting. With its specific FAO maturity class (90–1240 range), this hybrid is optimized for consistent grain development, ensuring that yield potential is reached even under varying climatic conditions.

Technical Sowing Recommendations

As a simple hybrid, Canyons demonstrates high uniformity, providing consistent plant development across the field. To maximize grain yield, the planting density must be matched to the specific agronomic environment:

• High-input systems/Irrigated fields: 80,000–90,000 plants per hectare, allowing for maximum plant performance.
• Water-limited areas: 65,000–75,000 plants per hectare to reduce competition for nutrients and soil moisture.

This adaptive density range allows growers to calibrate the crop according to the soil type and local water availability.
