KANYONS corn is a high-yielding grain hybrid from the German producer KWS with FAO 230. This hybrid features a remontant plant type with erect leaf and dent kernel types. Plants reach a height of 260-270 cm, with ear attachment height of 80-100 cm. Ears are medium-length, thick, slightly conical, with 14 rows of kernels, 35-37 kernels per row, and 1000-kernel weight of 300-310 g. Seeds are packed at 50,000 per bag and treated with MAXIM XL and PONCHO. The KANYONS hybrid demonstrates high drought and stress tolerance, making it suitable for both intensive and extensive cultivation methods. One of its key agronomic features is rapid water release, which promotes timely harvest and reduces losses. Plants can form two full ears, increasing potential yield up to 13-14 tons of grain per hectare. Recommended planting density at harvest depends on moisture conditions: 80-90,000 plants per hectare in well-watered zones, 65-75,000 in moisture-deficient areas. Morphological features of KANYONS corn include slightly curved medium-width leaves with a small angle between stem and leaf blade, as well as anthocyanic roots. Tassels flower in mid-season, and silk is uncolored. Despite high resistance, fields may experience infestations by corn borer and common smut, requiring attention during plant protection. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the KANYONS hybrid is a reliable choice for achieving high-quality grain yields.
