Corn Carat SV is a medium-late three-line hybrid included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region for silage use. The plant has medium height and broad leaf blades with strongly curved leaf positions. The ear has a weakly conical shape of medium length and diameter, with a short stalk and strong anthocyanic stem coloring. The grain is intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow coloring of upper and lower parts. The vegetation period is 91 days, dry matter content reaches 41.6%. Average yield in the region is 184.6 c/ha, with a maximum recorded yield of 374 c/ha. The Carat SV hybrid has high agronomic characteristics, including medium time of silk and tassel emergence, as well as weak or absent anthocyanic coloring of various plant parts, indicating its resistance and adaptability. The height of attachment of the upper ear relative to the plant is high, which facilitates harvesting and improves crop quality. Seeds are suitable for sowing under the herbicide Granstar, which simplifies crop maintenance and reduces protection costs. Carat SV is distinguished by high oil content in the grain (50-52%), making it attractive for oilseed production. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 51 c/ha, confirming its efficiency and economic benefit for farmers. Seeds are supplied in convenient packaging, ensuring preservation and ease of transportation. Due to its characteristics, Carat SV is a reliable choice for cultivation in the North Caucasus region.
