I 4545 Corn: A Specialized Choice for Food Processing

In the Ukrainian seed market, the "I 4545" corn hybrid occupies a distinct niche, focusing on quality parameters rather than mere biomass. This simple hybrid is engineered specifically for grain production aimed at the popcorn industry. Unlike standard dent corn hybrids commonly used for feed or starch production, I 4545 possesses a unique endosperm structure designed for expansion.

Why choose I 4545?

• Superior Expansion Ratio: The primary strength of this hybrid is the expansion capacity of its kernels, which is the gold standard for high-quality popcorn production.
• Predictable Processing: The hybrid is characterized by consistent moisture release, simplifying the post-harvest drying process and ensuring the grain remains in ideal condition for snack production.
• Uniformity: Being a simple hybrid, it offers high crop uniformity, facilitating efficient mechanical harvesting with minimal loss.

Strengths: High commercial value of the grain, excellent structural integrity for processing, and uniform maturity. Weaknesses: Requires stricter adherence to soil nutrition and management compared to generic commodity corn, as grain quality is highly sensitive to external conditions.

This hybrid is an optimal solution for agricultural producers operating within contractual frameworks for snack manufacturers. While it may not compete in total tonnage with intensive forage hybrids, it provides a stable and profitable output for producers targeting the value-added food processing sector.
