KWS TIMATEO — a medium-maturing corn hybrid intended for grain production. It belongs to the FAO 360 group and has a vegetative period of approximately 110 days. Plants reach an average height of 300–330 cm, with the ear attached at a height of 100–110 cm. The ear has a weak conical shape, length and average diameter, with 16–18 rows of kernels containing 37–42 kernels per row. The kernel type is intermediate, closer to dent, with yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part. The hybrid features intense anthocyanic ear stalk coloring and weak coloring of other plant parts. The KWS TIMATEO hybrid has high yield and stability under various climatic conditions. It demonstrates excellent drought resistance and good response to intensive cultivation technologies. Average yield in the North Caucasus region is about 58.9 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 120.6 c/ha. Recommended planting density varies depending on conditions: 75–85 thousand plants per hectare under favorable conditions and 55–65 thousand under unfavorable conditions. Grain moisture at harvest is typically around 20%. KWS TIMATEO exhibits rapid water loss after physiological maturity, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. The hybrid is resistant to major corn diseases and lodging, enhancing harvest reliability. Due to its characteristics, it is suitable for cultivation in various regions with different soil-climate conditions, ensuring stable and high grain yields.
