Sweet corn hybrid GW8046 is a high-yielding variety with a maturity period of 117 to 121 days and plant height of 230 to 250 cm. The ear, 23–24 cm long, is located at a height of 115–125 cm and has a red stalk with yellow kernels of dent type. Plants have a well-developed root system, which contributes to their high resistance to lodging and drought, making this hybrid especially valuable for cultivation under limited moisture conditions. Hybrid GW8046 is characterized by rapid moisture release from the grain and excellent shelling quality, ensuring high harvest quality. Due to its strong stay green effect, plants maintain green mass for a long time, positively affecting the silage potential of the crop. Additionally, the variety shows high resistance to major corn diseases, reducing the risk of yield losses and the need for intensive plant protection. GW8046 is suitable for cultivation as grain and silage in various climatic zones, including Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, as well as silage in Forest zones. For optimal yield under dryland conditions, the recommended plant density is 62,000–64,000 plants per hectare, and under irrigation — 75,000–85,000 plants per hectare. This agronomic approach allows maximum utilization of the hybrid’s potential and ensures stable high yields.
