The DKC 4795 corn hybrid is a high-yielding variety with excellent grain quality and rapid moisture loss during maturation. It exhibits high drought resistance and adapts well to various soil-climate conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. The hybrid is compatible with adaptive cultivation technologies, including conventional, minimal, and No-Till soil preparation methods, and can be successfully grown in monoculture.
DKC 4795 plants feature a strong root system and sturdy stems reaching 250-260 cm in height with a napieroid leaf arrangement. Ear attachment height is 85-95 cm, with 16-18 rows of kernels per ear, and 32-34 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 270 to 380 grams. The hybrid demonstrates high initial growth energy, good cold tolerance, and resistance to major corn diseases, including common smut, stalk and ear Fusarium, and root and stalk rot.
Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: 55,000-60,000 plants per hectare under adequate moisture, and 70,000-75,000 plants per hectare under dry conditions. The hybrid is also suitable for silage use and, due to its high starch content (over 72%), can be used for biofuel production, including bioethanol and biogas. High stability and adaptability of the variety ensure reliable yields even under challenging climatic conditions.
