Hybrid corn DKC 4014 is a high-yielding mid-season variety designed for intensive cultivation techniques. It is suitable for both grain and silage production, making it a versatile choice for various agricultural needs. The hybrid's plants exhibit strong stems and a robust root system, providing good resistance to lodging and facilitating rapid water drainage. Plant height ranges from 220 to 235 cm, kernels are dent-type, with starch content exceeding 72%, and 1000-kernel weight varies from 280 to 350 grams. DKC 4014 demonstrates high resistance to major corn diseases and stress factors. The hybrid shows drought and lodging resistance rated at 9 points, as well as high tolerance to helminthosporiosis, head smut, stalk rot, and fusarium (rated 8–9 points). This enables successful cultivation across various soil-climate conditions, including the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Recommended planting density depends on moisture availability and ranges from 65,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare. The hybrid can be planted at soil temperatures as low as 10 °C, expanding the sowing window and enhancing agronomic flexibility. It adapts well to both conventional and minimum tillage systems, simplifying its integration into diverse farming practices. Average grain yield in Ukraine reaches 111.46 c/ha, confirming its high productivity and stability.
