Description Celerina
Corn variety Celerina is an annual cereal plant with high taste qualities and universal application. This crop is widely cultivated and in demand due to its sweet and juicy ears, which are classified botanically as fruits. In Ukraine, corn is successfully grown primarily in steppe zones on chernozem, sandy-loam, and loamy soils, providing optimal conditions for its growth and fruiting. For planting, seeds are sown in open ground at the end of April to early May, with the plant requiring daytime temperatures in the range of +22…+25 °C and nighttime not below +18 °C for normal development. Celerina corn seeds are distinguished by high adaptability and resistance to various climatic conditions. The plant reaches a height of up to 2.5 meters, has high ear placement, and is resistant to a wide spectrum of diseases, including corn rust, mosaic virus, and gummy disease. The ears are cylindrical in shape, deep yellow in color, up to 24 cm long and about 5 cm in diameter, containing large, dense kernels arranged in 16–18 rows. Due to its high sugar and nutrient content, Celerina corn has an excellent taste and is suitable both for fresh consumption and processing. Growing Celerina corn requires adherence to agronomic recommendations, including early planting at soil temperatures of +6…+8 °C and optimal planting density depending on soil moisture. The hybrid demonstrates high yield — from 12 to 18 tons per hectare — as well as resistance to stressful conditions such as drought and cold. It is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe, and can be used both for grain production and silage. Due to its reliability and quality, Celerina corn seeds are in demand among farmers, and their purchase is accompanied by professional support and quality assurance.
