Serpantok is a new variety of winter rye developed by breeders from Volhynia and intended for use in the bakery industry. This variety has passed trials at all variety testing stations in Ukraine, received a certificate and patent, confirming its high quality and compliance with standards. Plants reach a height of 120–130 centimeters, with a potential yield of 10–11 tons per hectare, making it more productive compared to previous winter rye varieties.
The 'Serpantok' variety is distinguished by its disease resistance and adaptability, allowing it to be grown even on acidic soils. Thanks to these characteristics, it is suitable for various agroclimatic conditions and ensures a stable yield. The main application of this variety is bread production, although the grain can also be used for animal feed, expanding its potential use in agriculture.
