Description
GROMADA is a medium-early hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) with FAO 250, intended for grain production. It is characterized by high stability under various growing conditions and rapid grain moisture loss, which facilitates harvesting and improves grain quality. The plant is tall, averaging 250 cm, with broad leaves and an ear attachment height of about 95 cm. Tasseling occurs in early-to-medium periods, and anthocyanic pigmentation of various plant parts is weak or absent, which is a characteristic feature of the hybrid.
The GROMADA hybrid has medium ear density and medium lateral branch length, contributing to good yield formation. The yield potential reaches up to 145 centners per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking high and stable yields. Sowing rates vary depending on moisture conditions: in adequately moist zones, 80-90 thousand plants per hectare are recommended, while in less moist zones, 60-70 thousand plants per hectare are advised.
The GROMADA hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and can be successfully used under both intensive and more resource-limited agronomic conditions. Due to its characteristics, it ensures efficient use of sowing areas and allows for the production of high-quality grain with good moisture loss, reducing costs for drying and storage. This hybrid is an optimal choice for farmers focused on stability and high productivity of corn.
