Maize ANNIVERSARY 390 MV

Stavropol breeding: stability in changing climatic conditions

The “Yubileyny 390 MV” hybrid is the product of long-term work by leading agricultural institutes, including the Stavropol and Kuban research stations. This three-way cross hybrid has secured a solid place in the mid-season segment, offering producers a balance between yield potential and agronomic flexibility. The model’s main specialization is versatile use, making it popular for both grain production and high-quality silage harvesting.

Agronomic potential and resilience

A key advantage of “Yubileyny 390 MV” is its genetically ingrained resistance to common pathogens that reduce profitability in the southern and central regions annually. Breeders have focused on phytosanitary stability, allowing for the minimization of yield losses without excessive chemical input:

• Fusarium: The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to ear and stalk rot infections.
• Common smut: Provides reliable protection for crops against deformity and biomass loss.
• Stalk rots: High stalk strength prevents lodging, even under delayed harvest conditions.

With a medium maturity range and FAO 390 rating, this hybrid optimally realizes its potential under intensive farming practices. The consistency of the results, supported by the authority of the N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources and the Kazminsky breeding farm, makes it a proven tool for both large agribusinesses and smaller farms focused on predictable crop yields.
