Accent MV — a high-yielding mid-early hybrid of sweet corn developed by Syngenta. The plant's vegetative period is 80–85 days, allowing for full-sized ears to be harvested as early as 80–83 days after sowing. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation across all agro-zones of Ukraine due to its high adaptability and resistance to heat, drought, and other stressful weather conditions. Plants reach a height of about 220 cm, have a strong root system, and are well-leafed, which contributes to their resistance to lodging and provides reliable protection against fungal diseases and pests.
Each plant forms two ears, with the upper ear located at a height of 75–80 cm. Ear length reaches 21–24 cm, diameter about 5 cm, and the number of rows of kernels varies from 18 to 20. Kernels are bright yellow, large, juicy, and uniform in structure, with a tender husk of about 0.8–0.9 cm in height. The unique delicate flavor and aroma make this hybrid especially attractive for home cooking, freezing, and various processing methods.
