Corn hybrid Alfa is a mid-season hybrid with maturity group FAO 330, developed by the French company EURALIS Semences and produced by the Ukrainian company ALFA Seeds. This hybrid is characterized by high potential yield, reaching 140 c/ha, with average actual yield around 110 c/ha. Corn Alfa is suitable for both grain and silage production, has a dent type kernel, and an average plant height of about 3 meters. The 1000-seed mass is 350 grams, and the package contains 50,000 seeds in multi-layer paper bags.
The key feature of the Alfa variety is its high resistance to adverse climatic conditions, which is especially important for cultivation in Ukraine. The hybrid exhibits high cold tolerance, enabling early planting, as well as resistance to strong winds and lodging. Additionally, the corn demonstrates high drought tolerance without significant yield loss, making it a reliable choice for various regions of the country with variable climates.
Another advantage of corn Alfa is its high rate of moisture loss from kernels, reducing the time and cost of aeration and drying during harvest preparation. On the ear, it forms 14 to 16 rows of kernels, with an average of 34 kernels per row, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptation to the Ukrainian climate, this variety is an optimal choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable corn yields.
