Maize 3252

French breeding for the food sector: Laboulet 3252 hybrid

When an agricultural holding or farm plans to grow corn not for fodder but for the food industry, the requirements for the hybrid's genetics increase significantly. Laboulet Semences 3252 is a highly specialized tool for those involved in deep processing and canning. Originator Zeainvent Trnava S.R.O developed this hybrid as a reliable solution for producing grain with superior organoleptic properties.

Application and Technical Nuances

The flint-type grain of this hybrid is a key feature for those involved in cereal, flour, or canned food production. Unlike dent corn varieties, flint corn has a denser endosperm structure, which is critical during industrial milling—such a product crumbles less and provides a high yield of the final fraction.

• Maturity: The 120-140 day growing season classifies 3252 as a mid-season hybrid, allowing for flexible harvest scheduling depending on regional climatic conditions.
• Phytosanitary Control: French breeding focuses on plant health. Resistance to Verticillium wilt combined with protection against viral mosaics and Alternaria blight reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, preserving crop purity—a critical factor for food-grade raw materials.

Practical experience confirms that using Laboulet 3252 is justified for farms focused on contracts with processing plants. The hybrid's stable immune system minimizes field losses, while the grain quality ensures high market demand for both fresh consumption and deep processing segments.
