Gefest herbicide is a highly effective systemic agent for controlling a wide range of weeds, including annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf species. The active ingredient of the preparation is isopropylamine salt of glyphosate at a concentration of 480 g/l, which ensures rapid and reliable destruction of unwanted vegetation on agricultural and non-agricultural lands. The agent penetrates the plant through the leaf surface and moves to zones of active growth, where it inhibits the EPSPS enzyme, disrupting the synthesis of vital amino acids and enzymes, leading to the death of both the vegetative mass and the root system of weeds.
Gefest is effective against various types of weeds, including rhizomatous and rhizome-root perennial plants, thanks to the preparation's ability to act on the root system upon entering the soil. The action of the herbicide manifests within 3-7 days after treatment, while complete weed death occurs approximately three weeks later, depending on weather conditions and plant cover density. Maximum efficiency is achieved at temperatures from 5 to 25 degrees Celsius.
The preparation is used for treating crops of agricultural crops, interrows of fruit trees and vineyards, as well as on lands not intended for agriculture. The herbicide application rate varies depending on the types of weeds, their growth stage, and application conditions. Gefest provides long-term protection of plants from weeds, which contributes to increased yield and improved quality of agricultural products.
