The Chumiza variety «OLYA» is a high-strength, upright bush with a medium-thick stem, resistant to lodging and shattering. Plants reach a height of 136–152 cm, ensuring good yield under moderate climatic conditions.
The grain is large, round, white with an anthocyanin coloration, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 3.5 to 3.8 g. The taste qualities of the groats are rated at 5 points, and the filminess reaches 16.8%. The high oil content in the grain makes «OLYA» attractive for flour and food production.
The variety is characterized by early maturation and high yield – the average yield is about 36.3 c/ha. Due to its resistance to lodging, shattering, and melanosis, «OLYA» is suitable for cultivation in all climatic zones of the country, ensuring a stable output of groats of 76.7%.
