Garlic variety Unikat is a winter hybrid of French selection, characterized by early maturity and high yield. The vegetation period is about 90 days, and the underground bulb weight reaches 50 grams. The garlic head has a purple hue and consists of 10-15 cloves, each weighing 6-10 grams. This variety is distinguished by good storability, making it ideal for long-term storage and commercial cultivation.
Unikat has high resistance to diseases, including bacterial rot, as well as pests, which significantly simplifies care and improves crop quality. Garlic is recommended to be planted from late September to mid-November on fertile soils enriched with organic matter such as composted sawdust, manure, wood ash, and chicken droppings. Harvesting occurs from mid-May to June, with a planting rate of 26-30 thousand cloves per hectare, ensuring yields of up to 50-55 tons per hectare.
In addition to excellent agronomic properties, Unikat garlic is rich in beneficial substances. It contains B vitamins (including B6, B1, B2, B12), as well as vitamins A, C, D, and E. The mineral composition includes manganese, selenium, calcium, phosphorus, copper, iron, and potassium. Thanks to its biologically active components, this garlic strengthens the immune system, helps fight cold-related illnesses, protects the cardiovascular system, and possesses antibacterial properties.
