This variety was obtained by crossing cherry Kozlovskaya with a promising hybrid form 10-2. Originator of the variety: VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: S.V. Zhukov, E.N. Kharityonova. Undergoing state variety trials since 1994.
Tree is tall, with a broad-oval shape and sparse branching. Leaves are flat, medium-sized, with finely serrated edges; upper leaf surface is green, lower surface is light green. Petiole is short. Stigmas are medium-sized, brown, two in number. Flowers are fairly large, white.
Fruits up to 4.5 g in weight, round in shape, with a barely noticeable seam. Fruit color is dark red, nearly black at full maturity. Flesh color is pink. Flesh texture is cartilaginous. Juice is dark-colored. Skin is dense. Peduncle is green, without hairs. Stone is large. Fruit flavor is sour-sweet, with a taste evaluation of 4 points. Biochemical composition of the fruit: dry matter content 16.35%, sugars 15.65%, acids 0.78%, ascorbic acid 7.5 mg/100g. Fruits are of universal use with good transportability.
Early-flowering variety. Fruit ripening occurs on June 23. Winter hardiness of the tree and shoots to spring frosts is good. Resistance to viral diseases is high. The variety is drought- and heat-tolerant.
