This variety was developed at the Institute of Irrigated Horticulture named after M.F. Sidorенко, UAAN, by breeders N.I. Turovtsev and V.A. Turovtseva from crossing varieties Drogana yellow and Chernyavka in 1966. Under state variety testing since 1995.
Tree large, fast-growing. Crown spreading, medium density. Enters fruiting at age 4 after planting in orchard. Predominant fruiting positions — cluster branches and one-year growth. Bark on trunk flaking, gray. Shoots medium, straight, brownish, bare. Many tendrils, medium size. Leaves large, egg-shaped, long-pointed, dark green, smooth, glossy. Leaf blade concave in shape, curved downward. Leaf apex gradually long-pointed. Base rounded. Absence of pubescence. Leaf margin finely toothed. Petioles short, deeply divided, early falling. Petioles medium. Stipules medium, 2-3, colored, oval. Inflorescence umbel, flowers medium, white.
Fruits large, average weight 8.0 g, heart-shaped. Fruit apex rounded, base with depression. Pit medium, wide. Fruit sutures fine, barely visible. Pedicel medium, easily detaches from branch. Attachment to stone poorly strong. Fruit color dark red. Many lenticels, gray, barely visible. Skin medium, bare, easily peels off. Flesh dark red, firm. Juice dark red.
Flavor sour-sweet. Sensory evaluation 4.6 points. Stone weight 0.4 g, easily separates from flesh, oval, smooth. Fruits contain 16.8% dry matter, 11.7% sugars, 0.32% acids, 7.3 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Good transportability. Variety of universal use.
Fruits ripen June 18-20. Average yield of this variety at age 16 years is 72.0 kg per tree.
