The variety was obtained at the Institute of Irrigated Horticulture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences by M.T. Oratovsky and N.Y. Turovtsev from crossing hybrid form 1086 (Franz + Wilhelmina Klein-Dinst) x pollen mixture (Oratovsky Bigarro + Melitopolskaya Black + 1793 (seedling of French Black from open pollination)). Introduced into the State Register in 2000 for the North Caucasus region.
Tree is vigorous, with a spherical crown. Shoots are straight and brown. Leaves are elongated, dark green, matte, with serrated-crenate margins. Bears fruit on bouquet branches and one-year growth.
Fruits are large (8.6 g), one-seeded, broadly round or heart-shaped. Peduncle is medium-thick, easily separates from the branch. Skin is medium-thick, strong, glossy, dark red, almost black. Flesh is dark red, juicy, slightly fibrous, with excellent sour-sweet taste (4.8 points). Juice is dark red. Fruits contain 18.89% dry matter, 12.88% sugars, 0.57% organic acids, and 10.56 mg/100g fresh weight of ascorbic acid. Pit is small, round, free.
The variety is of universal use. Yield is 130 centners per hectare. Winter hardiness is above average. Drought resistance is high. Resistant to coccomycosis.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, drought resistance, resistance to coccomycosis.
Disadvantages: fruiting is below average.
