Cerastium MIRNAYA

A decorative choice for landscaping: 'Mirnaya' variety

The 'Mirnaya' Cerastium (snow-in-summer) is a product of scientific breeding conducted by the Orenburg State Agrarian University. This variety is a low-growing perennial groundcover that has gained recognition for its hardiness and aesthetic appeal. The variety was originated by the Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky.

Key Characteristics

• Compact size: The plants reach a height of 15–25 cm, making them an excellent choice for foreground flowerbed arrangements.
• Visual impact: The variety features delicate white petals, creating the effect of a "silvery carpet" across the landscape.
• Adaptability: The variety is well-suited to the climatic conditions of the Russian region, demonstrating significant resistance to temperature fluctuations.

'Mirnaya' is frequently utilized in the creation of alpine slides, rock gardens, and for lining garden pathways. Due to its controlled growth and dense ground cover, the plant effectively suppresses weed development, significantly reducing maintenance efforts. Choosing this variety represents a commitment to sustainable landscaping with minimal resource investment.
