Carrot Krakow RZ F1

Stable Yields for Long-Term Storage

The 'Krakow RC F1' carrot by Rijk Zwaan is a specialized solution for farmers focused on professional processing and long-term storage. Belonging to the Flakko variety type, this hybrid offers not just predictable yields, but also high technical efficiency throughout the growing season.

Agronomic Advantages

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its robust resistance to critical diseases that typically diminish carrot profitability by the end of the season:

• High tolerance threshold to Alternaria leaf blight;
• Resistance to powdery mildew, which helps maintain a healthy foliage canopy until harvest, ensuring optimal nutrient supply to the root.

The conical root shape and intense orange color make 'Krakow RC F1' a highly marketable product for both retail chains and processing plants. With a growing cycle of 120–130 days, it requires careful planting scheduling but provides excellent consistency in terms of market weight and quality.

Who is this hybrid for?

‘Krakow RC F1’ is an optimal choice for large-scale operations. The recommended planting density is between 0.8 and 1.0 million units/ha. It is designed for growers capable of providing a high-quality agronomic environment to achieve premium, high-density roots. Its core strength lies in stable performance during long-term storage, which is the decisive factor for maximizing margins during the winter and spring periods.
