Dill vegetable variety PERESVET is a high-yielding and disease-resistant plant that is easy to grow in various climatic zones. The variety is characterized by a long maturation period, good yield, and pleasant seed taste. Leaves are dark green, while fruits are dark-brown with a rich aroma.
PERESVET seeds contain a large amount of essential oil (50–60% carvone), which gives them a strong and pleasant smell. Thanks to this, they are widely used as a spice in cooking: added to soups, salads, cheeses, confectionery, and cabbage when pickling. Young shoots and leaves are also used for food.
In folk medicine, dill is valued for its anti-inflammatory properties. Seeds are used for gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular and nervous disorders, as well as as a galactagogue for breastfeeding mothers. Thanks to the rich content of vitamins and minerals, dill is considered a beneficial addition to the diet.
