Selma F1

Cabbage Selma F1 is a mid-late hybrid developed by breeders of Rijk Zwaan from the Netherlands. The plant features a strong root system and the ability to mature synchronously, enabling the production of uniform, dense, compact heads of round shape weighing from 2 to 5 kg and more. The leaves are light green with a waxy coating, dense and juicy, which gives the product a pleasant taste and aroma both fresh and after processing. The vegetative period of the hybrid ranges from 100 to 120 days, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including areas with insufficient humidity.

The Selma F1 hybrid exhibits high resistance to cracking and pests such as thrips, as well as good field health and tolerance to climatic stresses, including soil and air drought. Plants tolerate transportation and long-term storage well, maintaining an attractive appearance and commercial quality for 4-5 months. To enhance yield, cultivation under plastic, agrovilken, or in greenhouses is recommended, along with planting density of 30-40 thousand plants per hectare.
