Red cabbage CLAFORSA F1 is an early hybrid developed by Syngenta Seeds (Netherlands), characterized by strong growth and resistance to adverse growing conditions. The plant is intended for open-ground cultivation using seedlings, with a vegetative period of approximately 70-75 days after transplanting. The hybrid is suitable for conveyor planting, allowing harvests in summer and early autumn.
The plant forms medium-sized rosettes with upright, elastic leaves that fully cover the head, preventing pink discoloration under intense sunlight. Heads are round or conical, white, and weigh between 1.5 to 2.5 kg. CLAFORSA cabbage exhibits high resistance to head pinking under hot conditions and to cabbage yellows, ensuring stable yields and high product quality.
This hybrid is versatile in use: heads are suitable for fresh market sales, as well as for all types of processing and freezing for winter storage. For successful cultivation, regular watering and three applications of fertilizer are recommended. The cabbage withstands transportation well, making it in demand both in fresh markets and for industrial processing.
