Cabbage Santamaria F1

Santamaria F1 colored cabbage — a mid-season hybrid developed by the Dutch seed company Rijk Zwaan. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under cover, although under protective materials such as plastic film or agrofiber, it shows higher yields. The ripening period in summer is 75-80 days, in autumn — 85-95 days. The plant has a strong root system and well-developed leafy rosette, which tightly covers the heads, protecting them from sunburn, moisture, and pests. The hybrid exhibits good immunity, low maintenance requirements, and the ability to grow under extreme conditions. The cabbage heads are round, snow-white, and have a dense structure without cavities. The average weight of the heads ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 kg. The fruits form uniformly, compact, and ribbed, ensuring their high marketability. Heads ripen synchronously, do not crack in the field or during transport, making the hybrid highly resistant to damage and long-term storage without loss of appearance or freshness. Yield is 8-10 kg per square meter at a planting density of 25-35 thousand plants per hectare. Santamaria F1 cabbage is recommended for fresh consumption and is suitable for freezing due to its tender and appealing flavor. High transportability and long storage life make this hybrid advantageous for commercial cultivation and sale. Due to its characteristics, this variety is an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality yield of colored cabbage.
