Wild cabbage Lact F1

Engineering the Perfect Broccoli Head

Lucky F1 broccoli by Bejo is a masterclass in Dutch plant breeding, designed to deliver consistent yields under variable agricultural conditions. The core technology behind this hybrid is the perfect equilibrium between foliage density and reproductive growth, ensuring a predictable harvest for both field cultivation and intensive vegetable farming operations.

Agronomic Specs and Field Performance

The maturation timeline of Lucky F1 is strictly calibrated to 70-80 days post-transplanting, allowing growers to manage supply cycles with high precision. The plant structure features a robust canopy that acts as a natural shield, preventing heat stress and sunscald on the central head—a critical factor for maintaining marketability in the fresh produce sector.

• Density and Weight: The heads consistently reach 0.5–1.0 kg. The compact cluster structure provides superior structural integrity, ensuring excellent shelf life and resistance to handling damage during logistics.
• Disease Management: Bejo’s advanced breeding program has endowed this hybrid with increased resistance to powdery mildew. This technical feature reduces the frequency of fungicide applications, lowering production costs while increasing the overall sustainability of the crop.

Operational Versatility

Lucky F1 is designed for dual-purpose utility. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for the fresh market, where physical appearance and head density are paramount, as well as for the processing industry, including quick-freezing. The uniform size of the heads significantly optimizes the harvesting process, minimizing mechanical waste and labor costs during grading and packing stages.
