Wild cabbage APOLNA F1

Stable broccoli yields with Czech precision

APOLENA F1 by Moravoseed is a mid-season broccoli hybrid established as a reliable solution for those focusing on processing and deep-freezing. Czech breeding here focuses on predictability: with a maturity period of 70–80 days after transplanting, you get uniform, dense heads weighing between 1 and 2 kg.

Key advantages and features

• High Marketability: The blue-green hue of the florets retains its visual appeal after thermal processing, which is critical for the industrial processing sector.
• Disease Resistance: A significant benefit is the hybrid's resistance to powdery mildew, which substantially reduces the need for heavy pesticide application in the field.
• Head Geometry: Its dense structure and optimal size allow for efficient raw material usage on automated processing lines.

Who is this hybrid for?

APOLENA F1 is the choice for professional vegetable growers supplying processing plants. Unlike varieties intended for the fresh market, where texture tenderness is prioritized, the emphasis here is on density and industrial compatibility. A potential drawback is its high demand for soil nutrition—to consistently achieve the 2 kg head weight, strict adherence to irrigation and fertilizer schedules is required, as head size may be limited in poor soil conditions. The perfect balance between genetically embedded plant health and final product quality makes this hybrid one of the most stable tools in the Moravoseed portfolio for European climates.
