The "Gnom" cabbage variety is a medium-maturing type with an elevated rosette of leaves. The leaves are of medium size, gray-green in color, covered with a weak waxy coating, have a weakly blistered structure and a strongly wavy edge. The cabbage heads are round-oval in shape, of medium density, gray-green in shade, with moderate bumpiness, weighing from 400 to 500 grams. After cutting the main head, the plant forms several secondary heads weighing from 20 to 50 grams, which allows extending the harvest period.
The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 2.4 kg per square meter, and uniform crop formation. "Gnom" cabbage grows well on beds, is unpretentious, and does not require complex care. It is recommended to cover the plants with spanbond for protection against the cabbage moth. This variety is well adapted to cultivation on acidic soils, however, it does not tolerate heat, which should be taken into account when choosing a planting site.
"Gnom" cabbage has good consumer and taste qualities, which makes it universal for various methods of use. It is suitable for fresh consumption, home cooking, as well as freezing and canning. The early maturation period allows harvesting the crop already in mid-July, and the subsequent formation of side heads ensures the availability of fresh cabbage until the end of summer.
