Cabbage Gelios F1

Stability and Quality: The Ukrainian Breeding Choice

In the market of early-maturing white cabbage, where foreign hybrids often dominate, the Ukrainian-bred "Helios F1" from PMP "Tiras" maintains a strong position due to its excellent adaptation to local climatic conditions. It is the result of years of breeding research aimed at helping farmers find the perfect balance between high yield and resistance to regional plant diseases.

Agronomic Potential and Characteristics

The hybrid falls into the medium-early maturity category, requiring 70–80 days from transplanting to technical maturity. This makes it an optimal choice for obtaining marketable produce during the peak of the season.

• Crop Formation: The round, firm heads weigh between 1.0–2.0 kg, which is an ideal size for supermarket chains and consumers who prefer convenient, portioned vegetables.
• Disease Resistance: A critical advantage is its genetically inherent resistance to late blight (phytophthora), which significantly reduces the need for pesticide applications during the growing season.

Cultivation and Market Use

To achieve target yields, it is recommended to maintain a planting density of 40,000 to 50,000 plants per hectare. Following these guidelines ensures that the heads achieve uniform size without the risk of overcrowding, which can lead to decay. The primary target for "Helios F1" is the fresh market. Its dense internal structure and balanced flavor profile ensure steady demand from buyers who prioritize high-quality local produce.
