Czech Breeding for Your Vegetable Garden

The «Natalka» kohlrabi from the Czech company Moravoseed is a benchmark of consistency highly valued by both professional vegetable growers and home gardeners. Originating from the heart of Europe, the variety is backed by the breeding expertise of Moravoseed CZ a.s., which guarantees adherence to high standards of seed purity and predictable field performance. This variety was developed to meet the market demand for a high-quality, tender vegetable capable of maintaining its marketability over an extended period.

Agronomic Characteristics and Application

«Natalka» is a traditional kohlrabi variety. Unlike complex hybrids that require stringent environmental control, this variety demonstrates adaptability to various soil types common in temperate climate zones. The crop is prized for:

• High uniformity of stem tubers, which significantly simplifies post-harvest grading and preparation.
• Tender pulp consistency that remains palatable even if harvest is slightly delayed.
• Resistance to physiological cracking, a critical factor in regions with irregular rainfall or irrigation.

The application of this variety covers both summer and autumn production cycles. Growers choose this variety for its balanced growth rate and fruit density. Under intensive cultivation, «Natalka» delivers a predictable yield that enjoys steady demand due to its attractive appearance and the excellent eating quality characteristic of Moravoseed products.

Brand Reputation

The collaboration between Moravoseed and institutions such as John Bertinat Seeds enables the integration of modern breeding techniques into classic varieties. By choosing «Natalka», farmers are investing in genetic material that has passed rigorous European quality benchmarks. It is a reliable choice for those who prefer proven classics adapted to the requirements of the modern vegetable market.
